Pupils lean on the wall themed "the Olympics is approaching us" on the
south of the Renmin University of China in Beijing on Nov. 9. To welcome
the 1,000-day countdown of the Beijing Olympics, over 400 volunteers
collectively painted this 700-meter-long and 2.5-meter-high wall. The
painting was basically completed except for the mascot of the 29th
Olympic Games.
