The famous Chinese painter Yang Zhu took along his some eighty elaborate
works of snow bamboos for his first solo exhibition in Beijing's National
Art Museum of China on Nov. 3. Born in Changbai Mountain, Yang Zhu
learned about painting bamboos since his childhood. His "snow bamboo"
filled up the vacancy of "fine snow bamboos" in traditional Chinese
painting. Yang created much supreme works which could be handed down to
next generations, contributing a lot to the history of bamboo paintings.
