Lads from the village were performing "Mangge" for tourists. "Mangge" is
a god in the Damiaoshan folk legend, who can drive away bad luck and
devils as well as bring along good luck and happiness on Oct. 30, in
Goutan Miao Village of Rongshui Miao Autonomous County in Damiaoshan,
Guangxi province. "Mangge" dance was popular in Miao villages in the past
to exorcise and eliminate monsters.

Miao people from local villages were performing an entering ceremony with
Lusheng (Chinese bamboo flute) on Oct. 30, in Changlai Miao Village of
Rongshui Miao Autonomous County in Damiaoshan, Guangxi province.
