Engineers with China Institute of Cultural Relics were looking over the
statue reputed "China's No. 1 cliff Buddha" by historians which had
undergone anti-weathering protection on October 25th, at the Kongwang
Mountain Scenic Spot in Jiangsu's Lianyungang City. The statue was carved
in the East Han Dynasty (25AD--220 A.D), dating back to about 2,000 years
ago, more than 200 years earlier than Dunhuang Grottos.
