Qingqu Opera applies for cultural heritage

Chinanews, Aug, 31 - Yangzhou Qingqu Opera with a history of 6 centuries
has been included in Jiangsu's first ethnic and folk culture protection
program. It is an ancient and widely influential opera built upon
profound local culture of Yangzhou. Yangzhou's Qingqu Opera Research
Institute nominated Qingqu Opera as a national intangible cultural
heritage recently.
