Pictured, the Yueya Spring known as "Pearl of Sand Sea" is located five
kilometers south of Gansu's Dunhuang. Now the world-famous Yueya Spring
only covers eight Mu (1.32 acres) and is less than three meters in depth.
According to experts, 30 years later the spring will face the threat of
extinction if relevant authorities do not take more effective measures to
preserve it.
